On 10th July, the Congregation of Holy Cross joyfully celebrated the official opening and blessing of the Holy Family Community in Nkozi, a significant milestone in our mission of education, formation, and pastoral ministry.
The celebration was marked by the blessing of the altar and the tabernacle, dedicating this new community to the service of God and His people, especially the Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) community.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to our dear Holy Cross religious who joyfully renewed their vows:
Sem. Mwacha Didas, C.S.C.
Br. Magezi Eric, C.S.C.
Sem. Sungu Edward Denis, C.S.C.
May the Lord continue to strengthen you in your vocation and fill your hearts with the grace to serve faithfully.
The Provincial Superior, Rev. Fr. Peter Mayanja, C.S.C., expressed sincere gratitude to His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, Archbishop of Kampala, for granting the Congregation permission to establish this community house in Nkozi to serve the UMU community.

We were honoured by the presence of the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Uganda Martyrs University, Rev. Fr. Dr. Christopher Mukidi, together with university officials, clergy, religious, friends, and benefactors. More than 70 guests joined us in celebrating this joyful occasion.
May Holy Family Community become a home of prayer, fraternity, hospitality, and faithful service to the Church.
