With hearts full of faith and gratitude, the Holy Cross family gathered in a spirit of unity to offer a special sending forth prayer for Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Agaba, C.S.C., as he embarks on his missionary journey to Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬. It was a moment of deep reflection, joy, and commitment, as we witnessed the continuation of the Holy Cross missionary spirit.
Rooted in the spirit of “The Cross, Our Only Hope,” Fr. Emmanuel follows in the footsteps of our founder, Blessed Basil Moreau, responding with courage and zeal to the call of mission. His dedication to serving God’s people embodies our shared commitment to education, pastoral ministry, and building communities of hope.
During this sacred gathering, Rev. Fr. Caxton Peter Mayanja, C.S.C., Rev. Fr. Olobo Leonard, C.S.C., and Rev. Fr. Comfort Agele, C.S.C. led the community in prayer on behalf of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Province of East Africa. They invoked God’s grace and guidance upon Fr. Emmanuel, asking for strength and wisdom as he takes this next step in his priestly mission.
As we send him forth with our prayers and blessings, we trust that the Lord who has called him will sustain him in his ministry. May he bring the light of Christ to all those he serves and be a true witness to the Gospel.
We entrust Fr. Emmanuel and his fellow missionaries to the loving care of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. May their intercession be his strength, and may his mission bear abundant fruit for the glory of God!
