Theme: ‘When You Shine, I Shine, We Shine’

This year’s celebration of the revered patron of our school, St. Joseph’s Hill S.S Kyembogo, revolved around the theme of embodying St. Joseph’s virtues. Emphasizing cooperation, humility, collaboration, and community contribution, the day was marked by a series of activities organized by the campus ministry. From spiritual talks to community service, sports, and liturgy, every event aimed at preparing our students for a brighter future in line with Holy Cross education principles.

Guided by the motto of the Friends of St. Joseph club, ‘Come to St. Joseph, Go and Share the Love of God,’ the essence of this year’s festivities centered on love for God, neighbors, and the environment, mirroring St. Joseph’s just and caring nature in his role with the Holy Family. As we reflect on the significance of St. Joseph as a patron of the Church, we seek his intercession and protection as a community, drawing inspiration from his fatherly love and care.

In the spirit of St. Joseph’s legacy as an exemplary educator and guardian, we strive to emulate his compassion and dedication towards our diverse student body, offering support to those from varied backgrounds and life experiences. Pope Francis beautifully portrays St. Joseph as a beloved, tender, and courageous father figure, emphasizing his crucial role in the salvation story.
Amidst the unseen and humble presence of St. Joseph, Pope Francis encourages us to find solace and guidance, acknowledging the profound influence of those who may seem unnoticed yet play vital roles in history. As faithful followers of St. Joseph, we aspire to mirror his virtues collectively and individually, drawing strength from his unwavering protection.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to all who joined us in celebrating this joyous feast day, with special thanks to our guests from Holy Cross Lake View Jinja. Let us always remember St. Joseph’s significant role as the guardian of the redeemer and our protector in times of need, guiding us in our journey of faith.
