Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the Congregation of Holy Cross, in collaboration with Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM), hosted the first Global Rosary Prayer Press Conference in Uganda. The event, occurred on January 5th, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the HCFM Headquarters in Kampala, an influential spiritual gathering led by Br. Paul Bednarzyk, C.S.C., the Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross from Rome – Italy, and Fr. Fred Jenga, C.S.C., the President of Holy Cross Family Ministries. The Global Rosary Prayer event was announced to 5 continents and 18 countries where the Congregation of Holy Cross serves on 1st Jan 2024; the day of Mary the mother of God and World Day of Peace as a community and its collaborators and pray for World Peace scheduled to take place Feb 16, 2024,
The press conference, spearheaded by Br. Adolf Mugume, CSC, Directors of Communications Congregation of Holy Cross Rome – Italy, in collaboration with Ms. Angella Ndagire of HCFM Media Kampala, aimed to provide a platform for Holy Cross Ministries and collaborators in the Province of East Africa through the Media to learn about the upcoming Global Rosary Prayer, a digital event that would unite Holy Cross Ministries globally to Pray for World Peace.
The central focus of the conference shared vital updates and developments related to the Global Rosary Prayer. Br. Paul Bednarzyk, C.S.C., and Fr. Fred Jenga, C.S.C., who shed light on the significance of this spiritual initiative and its impact on fostering a sense of unity and peace in an interconnected world.
The press conference also delved into broader topics, including the mission of the Holy Cross in the world and the remarkable impact of Holy Cross Family Ministries on families. The collaboration between faith leaders and media representatives promised a comprehensive exploration of the importance of prayer for peace and the role of the Global Rosary Prayer in achieving this noble goal.
The organizers expressed gratitude for the presence of various media houses in Uganda, acknowledging the vital role they play in disseminating information. Their participation was an integral to making the event not only meaningful but also informative, reaching a wider audience and fostering a greater understanding of the collaborative efforts of the Congregation of Holy Cross and HCFM.
