St. Jude Kyarusozi Parish, Fort Portal-Uganda

St. Jude Kyarusozi Parish was officially elected as a Parish on 25th September 1994 by Rt.Rev. Dr. Paul Kalanda Akiiki Bishop of Fort portal diocese by then. The parish was put under the charge of the Congregation of Holy Cross that was ministering Butiti parish. The Parish is located in Fort portal catholic diocese in Uganda.

…Christ was anointed to bring good news to the poor, release for prisoners, sight for the blind, restoration for every broken victim. Our efforts, which are his, reach out to the afflicted and in a preferential way to the poor and the oppressed. We come not just as servants but as their neighbors, to be with them and of them.

Since 1994 the parish has blessed with many developments, increase of church going Christians, hence increase in small Christian communities to 259 in number. The churches have also increased from the original 22 to 33. All these churches are served by a team of committed Holy Cross Staff assisted by catechists. Each church has a catechist and the Assistant with the council of the Laity.
